The Community of Believers

Providence Church began as a home Bible study in 2000 and over the last 20 years we have outgrown several meeting places… however, we have always focused on maintaining a sense of community in our congregation. We want everyone who visits our church to feel welcomed and right at home.

Our church believes in being self-consciously simple and avoids being driven by programs. We believe that Christ intended for His church to bear one another’s burdens, to have great fellowship, and be dependable members of the Body of Christ, both in our local congregation and within the community. We want to see each other, not only at church events, but also serving in the community, showing hospitality, and spending time together in one another’s homes.

Our Services

9:00am and 11:00am

108 Melinda Drive
Lynchburg, VA 24502

Each week we meet to worship God together, confess our sins, hear His Word, and feast at His table. We pray, read scripture, sing psalms and hymns, hear the Word preached, and partake of weekly communion. Our service follows a five-fold pattern found in Scripture: Call to Worship, Cleansing, Consecration, Communion, and Commissioning.

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.
